Lucas McCurdy

Lucas McCurdy is the founder of The Bridge Group Construction based in Dallas, Texas. Widely known as “The Senior Living Fan,” McCurdy has directed his passion for aging adults and the communities they live in to develop the industry’s first renovation and construction company dedicated solely to the senior living industry.

“When I look back on my career, I want to be able to say I was a good steward in the senior living industry.”

McCurdy has been working in the construction renovation space for over 15 years. Having previously worked in a number of other markets including hospitality and multi-family, the senior living industry has captured his love and attention. In 2019, McCurdy started a new senior living focused construction company, The Bridge Group Construction based in Dallas Texas.

Active in the senior living industry including involvement in NIC, Argentum, LeadingAge, ASHA, McCurdy was recently appointed to the NIC Future Leaders Council.

He found his life’s work and passion in the senior living industry desires to use his time and talents to elevate and give back to the industry that gives so much to him. Working as a boutique general contractor for senior housing investors and operators is rewarding as he gets to execute construction projects in complex, delicate environments to ultimately make these communities safe and beautiful.

Successfully completing a construction project in a congregate care environment takes detailed planning, thoughtful execution, and at the core, an empathetic heart and mind to be part of something bigger than yourself. To bridge the gap between initial investment and ROI is a responsibility McCurdy takes seriously.

He was born in Texas, attended college at Winthrop University in South Carolina where he was a 3-time Big South Champion in cross country and track. McCurdy as his wife Danielle love spending time as a family with 8-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter. The two are advocates for adoption and for families with children on the Autism spectrum.
