The Gift of Refreshing Others

Proverbs 11:25 says:

“A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.”

One of the greatest gifts a leader can bring into a room is refreshing energy.

In a world filled with stress, pressure, negativity, and exhaustion, people remember the leaders who bring encouragement, hope, calmness, and belief. Refreshing energy isn’t loud or artificial—it’s genuine. It’s the leader who listens well, encourages often, brings perspective during difficult moments, and helps others feel stronger after the interaction than they did before.

Great leadership is not just about driving results.

It’s about lifting people while pursuing them.

Every touchpoint matters. A single conversation, smile, word of encouragement, or moment of grace may refresh someone carrying a burden you cannot see.

Reflection:

When people leave interactions with me, do they feel drained or refreshed? What kind of energy am I consistently bringing into the environments I lead?

Today’s Challenge:

Be intentional about refreshing someone today. Encourage a teammate. Speak positivity into a difficult situation. Offer gratitude. Slow down long enough to truly listen.

Leaders who refresh others often discover that their own spirit becomes refreshed in the process.
